陈翠荣先生创办的周恩来档案网，资料齐全，用心专注，独树一帜。今天偶阅“档案馆-周恩来照片集-19XX”栏，看到一张编号：19999999-05的照片，注释不详。现仅所知，略述一二：

该张照片源于美国CORBIS网站。原注释为：8/8/1957-Delhi, India: Behind the festive New Year masks are (l to r) Indian Premier Jawaharlal Nehru, Communist Chinese Premier Chou En-Lai and Vice Premier Ho Lung. The trio of statesmen, who toasted each other in orange juice, celebrated the New Year in a special train which took them from the Punjab to Delhi during Chou's recent good-will tour of India.
显然，按原注释“8/8/1957”，应该理解为发生时间为1957年8月8日，但查阅了《周恩来年谱》，周总理在国内，并未出国。所以我关注了英语注释的几个关键字：“New Year”、“ train”及“from the Punjab”，再与年谱和《周恩来外交活动大事记》对照，就得到了答案了。年谱与大事记载：
1956年12月31日
△ 出席旁遮普邦邦长在苏特里杰河左岸的苏特里杰大厦举行的隆重午宴。
△ 周恩来在参观巴克拉-南加尔水闸工程后返德里途中的专车里，同尼赫鲁总理共度除夕，欢庆新年。
英语的“Punjab”，即旁遮普；“celebrated the New Year”，即欢庆新年；“a special train”，即专车。
所以，该张照片的注释是否可这样写：1956年12月31日，周恩来总理、贺龙副总理与印度总理尼赫鲁在旁遮普返德里的专车上，共度除夕。 |
